Nice Infantry Percussion Cap Box - Metzger Marked

Really nice percussion cap box by Emanuel Metzger of Philadelphia, who contracted thousands of accoutrement sets, boxes for both infantry, cavalry and even navy. This one looks almost un-issued as the leather is supple and shows no signs of crazing. The outer flap attachment is present as is the inner flap which has the crisp E. Metzger stamp as well as the Ordnance Inspector's stamp. It still retains the original lambs fleece, though no vent pick is present. It retains the brass finial as well as both belt loops.
