M1840 Cavalry Saber by P. Justice of Philadelphia. The sword comes with scabbard that is in good condition. There are no dings or 'anti rattling' dents noted. It could use a slight cleaning on one side close to the drag. It has a nice plum brown patina and is correct for this style of sword.

The sword itself is in good condition as the blade shows a dull gun metal gray tone throughout. I only felt one knick on the edge. The ricasso is marked P.S. Justice / Philad A. It retains the original scalloped leather washer. The brass guard has a mellow patina throughout. It does have a little wiggle to it due to the shrinking of the leather grip. The leather appears to be all original and present, its just shrunk down so much. The wire is gone, but could be easily replaced, finishing out the display appeal. Nice looking sword overall from a unique maker.
