M1836 Single Shot pistol by R. Johnson in good condition. The metal has a gun metal gray tone throughout with very minimal pitting under and towards the muzzle of the barrel. The lock plate markings can be easily seen. The hammer pulls back, though seems to half cock, but does respond to the trigger. It is converted to percussion, as can be seen, with a drum bolster and unique hammer. It retains the original swivel rammer. The walnut grips is in good condition and on the flat opposite of the hammer you can see the inspector's cartouches. It is a nice example with great eye appeal.
