Quarter Plate Tintype of an Armed Soldier
Item #: FDR14-008
Click on an image to enlarge
Here is a really cool quarter plate tintype of a full pose, fully accoutered Yankee soldier. He stands in his four button sack coat with his early war cartridge box. The eagle breast plate and US buckle are not gilded, the US buckle is clearly seen. He wears a forage cap and his musket is at order arms with bayonet fixed and a tompion in the muzzle. This is a great image. It comes in really nice union case that is immaculate condition with a cool scene. No identification noted.
