Navy Model .36cal 6-shot revolver in good condition. The iron is smooth throughout with some minor pitting noted. It has a nice plum brown patina throughout. All parts appear to be original including the grips which are nicely worn and show no damage or repairs. You can see the outline of the inspector's cartouche on the left grip. There is a memory of the Savage Firearm stamp on the top of the frame, a stamp on the trigger guard and when you remove the grips you can see the serial number stamped in the 78XX range.

The action works perfectly when you pull the ring back, the cylinder indexes and hammer cocks. The hammer does respond to the trigger. All of the nipples are original in the cylinder though they have seen use as can be seen in the pics. These were manufactured from about 1861 thru the mid 1860's. Of the 20,000 made almost 12,000 were bought under Government contract - of which this is one. This is one of the coolest firearms produced during the war.

Price: $1,350.00 USD (Sale Pending)
