Here is a really cool M1836 single shot pistol by Robert Johnson. The iron has a toned down gun metal gray look throughout with no pitting noted, but some dark blemishes throughout. You can still see 90% of the marking on the lockplate with the US / R Joh / Middle / and the 1844 clearly visible. The action is tight and works perfectly.

You can see that the loading lever is original. On the top of the breach is 'US / JH / P'. The wood is in good condition with the normal dings and marks noted for a gun this age. You can clearly see both cartouches on the left flat. You'll notice it has a very unique drum bolster conversion from flintlock to percussion.
