Here is a great looking single shot pistol manufactured by the Washington Arms Company. This impressive pistol with a half octagon / round 7-inch barrel, has an aged gun metal gray tone throughout. There is no pitting to note anywhere on the the major components of the iron, some around the nipple.

The hammer pulls back and responds to the trigger - action is tight. The top of the barrel you can see a portion of the maker's stamp - 'The / Washington / (faint)' - you can see the number '22' underneath the barrel. What is cool, you can see the front site has been slightly put off centered to so that it can be seen when the hammer is pulled back. The walnut grips are in good condition with some wear on the finish.
