Here is an old war horse - a M1836 Single shot pistol by ASA Waters of Millbury, Mass. It has been converted to percussion with a cool southern looking drum bolster configuration. The metal has some modeling noted throughout as can be seen in the pictures.
All of the markings can be seen, including the lock-plate markings - "eagle head' / A. Waters / Milbury MS / 1841". On the breech of the barrel, you can see "US / NWP / P". The action works and has the original nipple.
The walnut stock is half/half. On the lock plate side, the wood is worn and shows the typical dings noted on a gun this age. No cracks or repairs noted. On the other side, it appears that it has been burned or close to a fire as it appears slightly charred. It won't win any awards, but its a cool relic.
