Fuse Hood(s) for 3-inch Dyer Shell

Your choice of five corrugated metal hoods for use with a Taylor Time fuse placed in a 3-inch Dyer Shell. All are in good and in relatively the same condition.
The Taylor fuse adaptor design was patented in April of 1865 and its purpose was to direct the flame of the propellant charge directly to the time fuse. You can see an example of this fuse adaptor and its placement on the shell on Page 111 of Charles Jones ' Artillery Fuses of the Civil War '.
