Cool looking French single shot horse pistol in overall good condition. The action works as the hammer goes to half and full cock. The iron is smooth throughout with minimal pitting. The marks can be easily seen on the lock plate and breech of the barrel. It is dated 1855 on the breech.

The brass fittings have a nice mellow patina throughout which give the gun a very cool look. The wood is in good condition with a very old stress crack near the rear lock plate screw. You can see the various rack numbers and inspector stamps on the flat of the wood. The ramrod is missing.
