M1816 Harper's Ferry cutdown dated 1838. The iron has a nice dark gun metal gray tone throughout. There is mild pitting noted and gets heavier towards the breech, near the nipple. This M1816 conversion to percussion has a cone in barrel conversion. The action works perfectly. The lockplate has the Eagle over US with "Harpers / Ferry / 1838" on the rear of the lock. The tang of the barrel is also dated 1838. The barrel has been cutdown to approximately 29.5 inches.

The stock is in good condition with some mars and dings noted per its age. There is no ramrod with this weapon.
