Measuring 2.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall. Gold laurel wreath embroidered on black felt. The silver castle measures approximately 1 x .5 inch. This variation is similar to Fig 447 in "American Military Headgear Insignia" by Campbell & Odonnell.
