Here is a cool 6th Plate daguerreotype of a parade dressed soldier of Mexican War era. In light, you can see his shako with white plume - there are initials or design on the front. His uniform is the high neck with epaulets. The image's condition is typical for this type of format - somewhat dark head on, but starts to pop at the proper angle and light. There are no abrasions or swipe marks on the image.

It comes in a "Gutta-Percha" brown frame. There are no visible repairs or damage noted on the front or back. Its a handsome image overall.
