M1860 Ames Cavalry Saber - New Jersey

Nice looking M1860 Cavalry Saber by Ames Mfg Company dated 186* that went to the state of New Jersey. The brass has a nice pleasing patina throughout the guard. The leather is worn, as can be seen in the images, and the wire is tight. The blade has a nice gray tone throughout.
The ricasso has the Ames Chicopee Mass stamp on one side and "N.J. / US / D.R. / 186*". The last number of the date is not present. With the banner style stamping, this is most likely a late 1863 - 1865 dated sword. The leather washer is still present.
